Muere a los 59 años Reg Cathey, actor de 'House of Cards'
El actor Reginald E. Cathey, quien tuvo un gran papel en 'House of Cards', falleció este viernes en su casa de Nueva York después de una lucha contra el cáncer de pulmón.
Cathey, quien interpretó el personaje de 'Freddy' en la aclamada serie de Netflix, trabajó en Hollywood durante más de 30 años y ganó un Emmy en 2015, refiere el portal TMZ.

El laureado actor, graduado de la Universidad de Michigan y la Yale School of Drama, también había encarnado personajes entrañables en series como 'The Wire' y 'La ley y el orden'.
La noticia de su deceso fue informada por el escritor y productor estadounidense David Simon, quien destacó que Cathey fue "uno de los seres humanos más encantadores con los que haya compartido largos días en un set", refiere Clarín.
"Reg, tu memoria es una gran bendición", agregó el creador de 'The Wire'. Por su parte, el guionista de 'House of cards', Beau Willimon, también elogió la calidad profesional de Cathey y manifestó pesar por su partida física.

Cathey también interpretó al Dr. Franklin Storm en el reinicio de 'The Fantastic Four' en 2015, y apareció en películas como 'Born on the Fourth of July' (1989), 'What About Bob?' (1991), 'Clear and Present Danger' (1994), 'Seven' (1995), 'Tank Girl' (1995), 'American Psycho' (2000) y 'Pootie Tang' (2001).
